Red Box Motors
The Problem
Red Box Motors needed a website before it had much else, a brand identity inherited from its sister company, Red Box Restoration, and a business model that most visitors wouldn't immediately understand. Selling a car through consignment is a different proposition than listing it yourself or trading it in, and the site needed to make that case clearly before it could generate a single lead.
The Work
I built the site from the ground up, working within the existing Red Box visual identity. Copywriting was as much a part of the project as the build itself. The core job of the site was education: most people don't know what consignment actually means for them, so the site had to explain, in plain terms, why handing a high-value vehicle over to someone else to sell is often the better option. Time and hassle were the real selling points. Fielding inquiries, scheduling viewings, and negotiating with private buyers takes time that most owners of exotic and luxury vehicles would rather not spend.
Alongside the build, I shot the photography used throughout the site and set up the CRM to manage leads and listings from one place.
The Outcome
The site is live and actively generating leads for the business. The architecture was built to support a more developed inventory experience, including fuller vehicle specs and video walkthroughs for each listing, as the business and its inventory grow.
